Look Up: Searching for Home

Commissioned by ArtReach

Various city centre locations: Aspex Gallery, The Big Screen, Southsea Library, Fratton Park

19 - 28 October 2018

LOOK UP is a high impact visual arts exhibition, which this year takes the form of an exciting digital project from artist Svetlana Ochkovskaya.

Working with members of the refugee and asylum seeker community, and reflecting on her own experiences, Ochkovskaya presents a series of short moving image pieces, using green screen technology to explore the different layers which make an individual’s identity and which move with us and increase as we migrate.

Svetlana is creating the work in residence at Aspex from 19 September – 21 October (Wednesday – Sunday), where you can talk to her about her work.

You can also join in our Coffee Shop Conversation with Look Up artist Svetlana Ochkovskaya at Southsea Library on 24 October 11.00am - 1.00pm
